I began to see that presence isn’t about doing more. It's about noticing who's already around me.
Ana came to Proxima during a season when life felt rushed and disconnected. Work, family, and city life left little room for stillness or deep relationships. When she began meeting weekly with a Proxima coach, she didn’t expect how transformative those simple conversations would become. Together they practiced presence — learning to pause, breathe, and notice what she’d been rushing past every day.
Each week Ana tried one small rhythm: walking her neighborhood without headphones, greeting a barista by name, or holding a coworker in mind instead of rushing past them. Slowly, the hurried edges of her life began to soften. As Ana grew more attentive to what was already around her, she also became more present to others. Neighbors started opening up, and friendships deepened. Eventually, she invited a friend to try the same practices, and now they meet monthly to compare notes on what they're noticing.
